Christmas Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • Bread/ breadcrumbs (as much or as little as you like, depending on how much you want or how many people you are cooking for)
  • Butter
  • Onion
  • Mixed herbs

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees (c), gas mark 4, 350 degrees (f).
  2. Put your bread & mixed herbs into a blender & blitz until they become breadcrumbs, or you can buy ready made breadcrumbs at your local supermarket.IMG_20181111_173149_resized_20181114_055349266
  3. Chop your onions & sweat them in the butter until soft, at this point I like to add mixed herbs as I find that the flavour really infuses with the onions.IMG_20181111_173329_resized_20181114_055349611
  4. Pour your butter & onion mixture into the bread crumbs and blitz until your stuffing is at the desired consistency. (Bakers tip: if it is dry you can add more butter, if it is too moist you can add more bread).IMG_20181111_174004_resized_20181114_055352278
  5. Transfer into an oven dish & cover in tinfoil.IMG_20181111_174625_resized_20181114_055351852
  6. Pop into the oven for about 30 minutes, or again until it is at your desired consistency.IMG_20181111_184843_resized_20181114_055351325

I hope you enjoy this alongside your Christmas dinner. Have a very merry Christmas & a healthy, happy  New Year!
